"The Sanguine temperament, associated with blood in ancient Greek medicine, is warm, moist, and expansive. Described by Hippocrates and later refined by Galen, the sanguine disposition reflects vitality, circulation, and outward flow. Psychologically, this temperament is characterized by sociability, optimism, emotional expressiveness, and a strong orientation toward pleasure and novelty. Sanguine individuals tend to recover quickly from setbacks, seek stimulation, and thrive on connection, but may struggle with follow-through, overstimulation, or impulsivity."
